LES45 Fall Challenge Announcement!! • Brief History of Challenge • Details for the Next
• Things to Consider
Time & LES45 Challenge ⌛⏳
I apologize in advance if the video plays with poor quality for you! A downside to living in the boonies ;)
Devotions may take about 15 minutes, or less if you're just starting, more if you're a seasoned Word diver.
Meal planning, prep and groceries may take 5 to 8 hours PER WEEK, this includes making meals that average 30 to 45 minutes.
Exercise will vary wildly from person to person. Plan to start where you are, but stretch yourself too.
If you have a lot of free time, you may simply need to add each area to your daily routine. If you have less margin of time, you might need to take an honest look at how you currently utilize your time and adjust accordingly. If you feel like you're in the RED - it may be time to say no and employ a trusted friend to help, and brainstorm ways to make adjustments for the challenge.
Key habits that may be helpful: begin with the end in mind and put first things first. Imagine the desired outcome you'd like to experience at the end of the 45 days. Lower blood sugar? Lower blood pressure? No anxiety? Clearer skin? More energy? Closer to Christ? Imagine, feel it, and capture it by writing it down.
Then prioritize your time to keep the activities that help you get there and begin to release those that don't. Filter additional requests for your time through these priorities and recall the end you had in mind. You deserve this and it is ONLY 45 DAYS :D
Tomorrow we'll talk connections and I pray my interne connection is stronger. Please message me if you have any questions and enjoy your evening!
Connections Be encouraged to explore your relational connections:
• No connection
• Bad connection
• Pseudo Good connection
• True connection
Research repeatedly shows accomplishing a goal is more likely if we have a STRONG SUPPORT support system. Do you have at least one true connection for the duration of the challege, and beyond? Are you willing to allow one to be established?
Something to consider prior to committing to the challenge :)
The Map & Brokenness
Today I share the "map" I discovered from George Barna. In his reasearch he's concluded there are stops many Christians share arriving at, throughout their faith journey. Although not linear by any means, and certainly many stops may even be revisited, this map was enlightening for me and may be the same for you.
We also discuss brokenness and are encouraged to consider if brokenness is a part of the faith journey to healing, developing a profound love for God and others, and living "MORE" in the Christian life.
What does this have to do with the LES45 Challenge? There will be obstacles and potential set backs. How will they be viewed? As something to dismiss because weakness is not allowed, or an opportunity to learn and grow, just as God intends?
Note: in the video I share a thought from my Pastor, and say it was three or four YEARS ago. It was WEEKS ago, NOT years. I guess you could say Pastor Jason's message was right on point ?
Have a great night and I hope to see your names come through this upcoming week, when sign-up for the challenge is open.
