Above is my landscape for the week. Yes, I am doubling up on my workouts. However, from an overall workout time, I am spending the same amount of time that I would have in one session. I am taking advantage of working out on an empty stomach first thing in the morning, with the cardio, followed by high carb breakfast. Later I will alternate weight training with yoga/stretching, as laid out above.
Alternating carb days with a fairly aggressive cycling schedule may be challenging, but I want to see what kind of results can be achieved with this philosophy. I have not tried this yet, and think the next several weeks (from now until the beginning of the year) is as good as time as any to give it a try.
