Down one pound this week with the Ultimate Oxygen Challenge. Results aren't dramatic, but as my coach and I discussed yesterday, I'm in a building phase and my fat loss magic might night happen until later. That phase won't begin for another couple weeks. The trend with my scale (which may not be entirely accurate) is down in fat % and up on muscle gain. So I'm just going to keep executing one day at a time, run the Spartan Super in a week and a half, and then really zone in on fat loss.
I hope you're having a great week!

OK, update. I have not lost a pound this week. I'm not alone, there are other gals in the Ultimate Oxygen Challenge reporting the same results. I am down .6% in body fat and up .5% in lean muscle mass, according to my scale.
I'm not going to freak out. I see my body changing and my clothes fit differently. Better than that, I am feeling super good! So, yes there are just ten weeks left, but no I'm not worried. In fact, I think I just upped my game! My husband bought the FitBit Charge HR for my birthday!!! I'm super excited, because just one day of using it, I can identify where some things needed to be changed. Probably for quite a while now! Oh man, I am so excited to see how things go now. I think it is going to be great! Yikes! I looked at the calendar today and realized I have only three weeks until the Spartan Super. Just. Three Weeks. I feel confident I will be fine. However, I really want to give mental attention to finishing in the heat. I think that is going to be my biggest challenging variable for this race. After the Super, no more. I find myself asking, why didn't I go for the trifecta....hmmmm....??? I received confirmation tonight that my photos were accepted. For some reason it is creating a much stronger sense of urgency. Like, I really need to kick things into high gear. As I said yesterday, I am going to tweak a few things and implement this next week. Hopefully I will see more change for my next check-in.
This is an awesome time. I am grateful for my husband who supports me and my daughters who are excited to see the what their momma can accomplish. I am loving that I am making some other connections and their are a few people in my life showing support. So much to do, so excited to do it! After week one, I am down nearly a pound. I also lost just over a half inch from my waist. I ate healthy and did my workouts. But, I know I can change things up to better align with how I know my body responds to certain foods. I am glad this challenge is designed to be flexible and fit unique needs. So my goal is to see closer to two pounds lost next week. We'll see how it goes!
