Matthew 22
Good morning Lord!! Thank You for another beautiful day to enjoy in Your presence, in Your Word, and with our families. We read this morning many are called but few are chosen, in verse 14. We also read there was a mistake made by the Sadduccees...they did not know the Scriptures or the power of God. Finally, Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” My prayer this morning is You would compel many to get into Your Word and KNOW it. Compel many to understand and EMBRACE Your power living WITHIN them. Compel people, through Love, to LOVE. Love You and love others because, as we've seen many times before, a heartfelt devotion to You compels us to follow wherever You may go, whenever You instruct - and You typically lead to the broken, hurting, hungry and thirsty, whether spiritually, mentally, or physically. Lord, I pray not one should perish. I pray not one should be called, and yet not chosen. I pray if even one person reading this is in a place where they have been called but might not be chosen today, Your Spirit would move through Your people to reach out and compel them with love to seek You, know You and live by Your power in Their life. I pray also for You to search our own hearts and help us to see that which may be hindering us in our walks with You. Thank You Jesus, amen ❤
