Lord there were so many things taking place in today's reading, somewhat difficult to fathom. A man delivered from all sorts of darkness, another's daughter deceased and brought back to life, and a woman healed after years of illness. The mind still has a difficult time comprehending these types of illustrations. However, like the leader of the synagogue in today's story, it is as though You say to us as well, "Don't be afraid. Just have faith [or believe]."
Help us to believe, first for a strong relationship with You. Increase our faith for a Christ centered marriage or relationship, for those who are married or dating. Move us to faith for our FAMILIES and our homes. Lord, help us to be mothers who remain CONNECTED to our children. Speaking Words of LIFE into their hearts and minds every single morning and afternoon. Like a good shepherd, help us to seek You in the morning, to help set the course for their day. As our kiddos go into their schools, help them to be a light in a darkened world, and to not be afraid to shine brightly for You, by reaching out to others. Bring a conviction in our heart, in areas where we may have given up ground and become complacent with being "busy".
If our days are full with non-Spirit led activities in our home, places that appear "dead" because they are outside of the vine, please help us to see, restore with Your life, and transform our minutes, hours and days to reflect Your glory in our homes and with our families. Thank You Jesus, amen!
