This isn't a surprise. God said this would be done back in Ezekiel 11:19, “I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them,” and again in Joel 2:28, “Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. 29 In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants - men and women alike.
God's Spirit is for all who have a heartfelt devotion to Him. Experience has taught me this most often is developed from an encounter with the Lord through loving people (led by His Spirit), in God's Word, during praise and worship, and in prayer. HE empowers us (those who desire Him) to be the Love here on the earth that He needs us to be. HE moves us to speak words of comfort to an individual struggling. HE moves us to encourage the person who feels they can't go on. HE causes us to COMPASSIONATELY counsel those who may be wandering alone in the dark. Jesus does not work according to a script, but is moved personally by our unique circumstances and purposes. He does this through us. Amen!
