James 2
So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone. Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works. OR For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead (ESV). James 2:17, 24-24, 26 Dear Lord, You are making it very clear it is not enough to simply believe, have faith, and as long as we "have You in our heart", we are good to spend eternity with You. James says (under inspiration of Your Spirit we believe), we are shown to be right with You by our deeds, what we do and good works. Help us to see, how this differs from legalism. In fact, Your Word mentions and provides an example through Abraham, in Genesis 22. We desire to be considered righteous before You, and considered Your friend, just as Abraham. Compel us to move even as Abraham did. Help us trust Your promises and help us to trust YOU will provide in any request You make known to us. May our actions make our faith complete, may our hesitation to move in faith, trump staying put in fear. Thank You for Your Words and Goodness! In Jesus Christ's Name we pray, Amen ❤
