Hebrews 4
4:7 So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today. God announced this through David much later in the words already quoted: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.” 4:9-10 So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. 4:12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. 4:16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Lord, I pray we do not harden our hearts to Your Words this morning. Thank You for creating a place of rest for us, and allowing us to move from a place of stress and burnout, due to constantly attempting to do EVERYTHING in our own strength. We are grateful Your Word is ALIVE AND POWERFUL, and when read, spoken or prayed to You, it will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Thank You Lord for compelling us to come boldly into Your throne of grace, through prayer or worship or Your Word, and like Esther we do not need to worry about death, because YOU desire we be there in Your magnificent presence! Thank tou for doing what You said Youvwould do in Ezekiel 34:15. Thank You Lord, in Jesus' Name we pray. Amen!
