Feb 22 devo...Proverbs 3: 25-26 Be not afraid of sudden terror and panic, nor of the stormy blast or the storm and ruin of the wicked when it comes [for you will be guiltless], For the Lord shall be your confidence, firm and strong, and shall keep your foot from being caught [in a trap or some hidden danger]. I love the promise from God, He will be my strong and firm confidence! There are verses leading up to this, however, that speak louder to me this morning. Verse 21 says to keep sound and godly Wisdom and discretion....Then you will walk in your way securely and in confident trust, and you shall not dash your foot or stumble (verse 23). It appears having fear flee is conditional on my part to seek God's Wisdom, knowledge and understanding. This means being in communion with Him through prayer and His Word. Experience has taught me this is true. The further it feels I am from God, due to my lack of interaction with Him, the more fear has taken up residence within my thoughts. This led to a whole slew of negative impacts in my spirit, soul and body. Thank God His mercy endures forever and HE NEVER LEAVES. He softly, calls and reminds us He is there through it all, ready to restore to us all that we have allowed to be taken.
