Acts 9
Ananias went. So? Lord, this morning a name pops out that, for me, hasn't before. The recollection in today's reading typically shares of Saul's monumental conversion. A conversion from persecuting the church and even having the cloaks of the religious thrown at his feet when Stephen was stoned, to then preaching Your Good news. But there is Ananias. Your Word says He was a believer. That's it. Not an apostle, not a leader, not anyone with rank - but a believer. As such You requested of Him to go to the one responsible for persecuting and imprisoning. Ananias expressed concerns to You, but HE WENT. Because he DID GO, Saul's transformation took place and, well, many of us know the rest. You do make Your requests known to EVERYONE who genuinely believes, thank You. I pray this morning anyone seeing this for the first time, perhaps like myself, sees the importance of moving when You request us to. Lord, help us look past the fear of what may happen to us, and forward to what we know is taking place FOR You (even though we may not see or understand everything fully). Empower us to walk by faith, always. Thank You, in the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen!
