Acts 5
Your Word is refreshing! Your Word gives life! Life this morning and life every time we choose to read it. This morning it is a hard thing to read of the deaths of those who grieved Your Spirit by lying. Lord I pray You are patient with us as we whole heartedly learn to walk in Your ways and become more like You. Help us to first be honest with You and ourselves and what we know we need to do, then we can be honest with others. From there we see those who serve You cannot be bound, Your Word cannot be stifled when the heart of believers are doing their best to fulfill Your mission. And others recognize it. Others know when a believer is authentic and genuine. It seems this is at the heart of today's chapter. I pray we are genuinely, authentically, whole heartedly believers in Christ, desiring only to serve You and fulfill the roles You have for us. Thank You for Your grace and mercy for those of us feeling like we're constantly fumbling as we figure it out. In Jesus' Name, amen.
