Acts 26
Happy Tuesday Do you ever have moments where you look at something, but you don't actually SEE what it is You just looked at. Habits and thoughts can prohibit us from SEEING the abject we intentionally placed our eyes upon. Then, something triggers a double take and finally, we SEE what had glazed over in our minds before (now you're seeing donuts ;) ). This morning, Lord, I sense You need us to really take a moment to SEE what it is You're revealing to us - rather than simply look at the Scriptures. We need to SEE the truth, again, that You provided Paul with multiple visions (or images) of what You were calling him to. He placed his faith in You, and began to rely on You, to bring that vision to pass. God, thank You for making this so clear! Thank You for confirming the importance of laying hold of Your vision for our lives and moving in accord with You towards the place where You are. In today's reading, King Agrippa sides with Paul, in that he was not deserving of death or imprisonment. However, because of Paul's appeal to Caesar, the chapter concludes with the implication he will be headed to Rome. And why wouldn't He, that is exactly where God said He'd go... Lord, I pray we seek, find and lay hold of Your vision for our lives. This may seem repetitive, but if we were all "getting" it, perhaps our lives would look differently. Lord, You desire to bless us. Your place of blessing comes when we are walking in accordance with Your will. Walking in accordance with Your will, means knowing what Your will is for us personally, in order to raise society up to Your will collectively. Knowing Your will comes from being in Your Word, prayer, and accepting the whispered Words to our minds and hearts, from Your Holy Spirit. Thank You Lord for meeting us here this morning. Amen!
