Acts 23
Reading and re-reading it was apparent God is in the details. It was also apparent religion or religious systems of any time provoke squabbling, division and derision. Paul was slapped by the high priest The pharisees and sadduccees began arguing amongst themselves The Lord informs Paul he will be going to Rome, just as he had been sent to Jeruselem The Lord positions Paul's nephew such that he plays a role in Paul going to Caesarea Lord, I pray this morning we are compelled to ask You to search us and point to areas where we may be replacing Your leading in our lives with religious mindsets and activities. If there are places in our hearts where we continue to operate in our own strength, creating anger, separation, lack of compassion, ultimately devoid of Your love - please help us to see it and begin to turn from it. Lord, Your Word says we must first remove the plank from our own eye before we can see to help another remove the speck from theirs [Matthew 7:5]. It's so easy to read this and think of people or groups of people being this way in various platforms, today. Help us to read Your word and reflect back to us what we must see in our own heart. Thank You for illustrating through Pauls life You are in the details and Your will coming to pass, regardless of every challenge we face, as we move forward on the path of Your will and purpose for our lives. Thank You Jesus, amen!
