Acts 14
What a read this morning! Paul and Barnabas are on God's mission living out His vision and they are met with both resistance and praise. On one hand the Jews are trying to keep the people from believing and sewing discord, on another the Greeks try to make them both gods, and begin worshiping them. Regardless of the polar reactions, they continue in God's power, sharing God's message, and healing the crippled. Paul is finally stoned by the Jewish, unconvinced sect, drug out of town and left for dead. BUT! Paul got up and CONTINUED on, the Bible says, strengthening and encouraging believers to continue in the faith reminding them of hardships they'd likely endure for the Kingdom of God. Lord, I pray this morning we are stabilized by the empowerment of Your Holy Spirit and not tossed about by acceptance or rejection in our lives. I pray we continue on in the great mission to love and share with others, with the vision You uniquely share with each of us. I pray we both strengthen and encourage others, while also having others surround us when we need strengthened and encouraged ourselves. Help us get back up from the places we may feel knocked down, and keep moving forward in Your strength. We thank You and praise, in Jesus Christ's Name Amen ❤
