healthy and strong in SPIRIT, WHICH leads to a healthy visible body? If not, why?
Then I'm reminded of Job and the illness that came upon him and the accusations that he had done something wrong, when in fact, he hadn't. His situation implies we sometimes go through seasons of growing pains where we must rely heavily on God because even those closest to us can be unable to minister to us in godly ways.
What is the result? Spiritual strength, which leads to health. When churches appear unwell, they may be collectively experiencing a season where they can grow or retreat. Where they can become closer to Christ and reflect Him more, or not.
The same is true for individuals. When we seem unwell physically, it may not be because we are not close to God or living as He needs, but rather we are learning to rely MORE on Him, ultimately becoming spiritually stronger. The healthy body will follow.
