Live in peace, keep God's commandments (being led by the Holy Spirit, remember Romans 8) (v15, 19)
The Lord in His mercy gives wisdom that can be trusted (v25)
Paul wants the church to do whatever will help serve the Lord best, with as little distraction as possible (v35)
Dear Lord, You know I read this chapter very differently than in times past. I read areas where Paul delineated his opinion from Your directive. Something I've never picked up on before.
You would have us to remain in our marriages, live in peace, and keep Your commands which is to be led by Your Spirit. Paul encourages us to understand You in Your mercy give wisdom and do whatever we can to serve You best, and trusts he is prviding counsel from Your Spirot to the Corinthian church. Ultimatley that is the most important thing. Your desire is for us to not get hung up on the details we allow ourselves to be held back by and to live freely by your Spirit while we stay right where You have us.
Thank You for opening this up more. I certainly don't feel I see everything that might need to be seen. However, I trust You will make it known. Thank You Lord, amen.
