My devotional insight for the morning comes from Esther 10: Knowledge without action has the potential to affect many, rather than just the individual with the information or knowledge. Isn’t this so true? We oftentimes have the knowledge about truth, ways to live healthy, what “not to do”, and yet, we struggle to APPLY what we know. This not only impacts our lives, but it impacts the lives of those closest to us, and potentially for generations to come. I’m thinking about that today as I apply the knowledge I have been blessed with. How does it need to be applied in my spiritual life? In my relationships? In my physique goals? The answers are looking me right back in the eye, and now it is time for some follow-thru.
Speaking of follow-thru, here is the workout I executed for Day One Upper Body day:
5 minute warm-up: 4mph @ 6% incline
Flat Dumbell Press 4/6
Dumbell Laterals 3/10
Javelin Press 3/10
Bicep Curls 3/10
Upright Rows 3/10
8 minute steady state: 4mph @ 6%/10% incline (5/3 minute split)
7 minute steady state: 4mph @ 6%/10% incline (4/3 minute split)
Nutrition is on point, so far. I really need to write it down, before the day gets away from me. Perhaps I can voice record it on my commute home from work this evening?
On a final note, I am always looking, searching for other gals who are going through or have successfully gone through the same challenge I have set out to accomplish – have a body ready to get on stage and compete. I have come across one gal who has REALLY inspired me. Meet Michelle Piccolo at www.fromfittofigure.com. If you’re looking for and are ready to be inspired, check out her “Progress Pictures” as well as her “36 Life Lessons”. Way to go Michelle and thanks for sharing your journey!
