I often find myself sort of recapping the work God has done in my life or the times He has been faithful to His word. This is so helpful when I start to doubt or feel like things are never going to change, or when the enemy attempts to attack my mind and convince me God is not faithful to keep me and rebuild in and through my life. Be encouraged to take a moment to identify at least one thing YOU KNOW God has done FOR you, and celebrate that. Praise Him! Rejoice for His goodness and faithfulness to see you through! Lesson #12 Guard what has been rebuilt and pray for the ability to resist returning to previous mindsets, behaviors and habits. Nehemiah 13: 18 “Wasn’t it just this sort of thing that your ancestors did that caused our God to bring all this trouble upon us and our city? Now you are bringing even more wrath upon Israel by permitting the Sabbath to be desecrated in this way!” Finally, we have a tendency to want to fall back as we are going through, and once we've experienced some measure of success, resulting from the rebuilding process. It can be uncomfortable to move forward. We don’t want to leave our comfort zones, but we forget that staying “comfortable” is often what got us to the point where things were falling apart in the first place. Even the people in Nehemiah ended up going back to what had destroyed Jerusalem to begin with.
I pray as you've read through this series, God has been speaking to your heart by His Holy Spirit. I pray you've gained insight and inspiration to continue to rebuild in your life. I pray you are blessed by the biblical lessons we have been able to glean from the book of Nehemiah and may even be motivated to read the book on your own. His Word speaks to us uniquely, and you may receive even more lessons from His Word. Have a beautifully blessed day and as always, feel free to reach out if you would like to connect. Also, share your praises for God's goodness, by leaving a comment. Chat with you soon :)
